Is there a trick to clear a electric stapler?

I tried to pull the staple out (attached) and push the staple tray (not moving) and push the piece in front of a backup (stuck, too.) If you know of a trick I have not tried, please share! I be careful because a couple of the pieces are plastic, do not want to break it.

Use a thin wide flat blade screwdriver. Insert up in the slot where staples out. There is a metal adapter that comes up and pushes the staples out. Pull up to unjam works.
